02 September 2008 Back to Monarch land owner of Mont films Robert McClymont is a crofter in BBC hit drama Monarch of the Glen final episode Robert was involved in the filming of saving fictional Glenbogal estate and the future new Monarch, did the BBC mean 'The real Monarch of the Glen'? Robert is very supportive of seeing the real monarch of the glen succeed and is planning a visit to make a short film to help promote Paul Lister's dream, can a TV crofter make a difference to Paul's dream?. 01 September 2008 In the spotlight India Bollywood and LA Hollywood takes interest in Mont films this is not the first time Hollywood has taken interest in what we do.
27 August 2008 update Mont films drama title 'Crofters of the Highlands' (c) a co-op rights production continues to attract world interest however like most new independent Scottish productions basic production funding is holding back production. Mont films needs support from private and/or government organisations who are prepared to fund the basic production costs contact us if you can help or you want to support us through advertising or business locations such as tourism locations. The production will get the green light in late 2008 even if we do not get help it will mean we will have to produce with the very basics with the dedication of cast and crew we are determine to produce this drama.
23 August 2008 Mont Films invited to Venice film festival by top producers and directors will help attract productions to Scotland.

Update 05 June 2008 With over three thousand cast & crew who live in Scotland contacting Mont films, Mont films now has it's own cast and crew database (offline) all who have contacted us will be contacted direct by Mont films and added to the database for future work.
Update 05 June 2008 30 minute pilot drama 'Crofters Of The Highlands' to be shot summer 2008. All Cast and crew who have emailed and written to Mont Films will receive replies. Update 05 June 2008 There is a lot in the media about Scottish productions that are made in Scotland being left out when it comes to commissioning, what Scotland now has is its own TV broadcasting station. Mont Films have created and launched Scotland's first owned and controlled television broadcasting station called 'Scottish Product TV' www.scottishproducttv.com the station is owned and controlled in Scotland allowing Scotland to produce 'Scottish Product' and sell direct to the global market. Scotland no longer has to be left out when it comes to releasing Scottish product to the world. Mont Films has given up wasting time and money trying to get commissions we now focus on getting on with producing for Scottish product television and producing for global festivals, time and money is no longer wasted. Thanks to the thousands of people across the world who support Mont Films and Scottish Product TV, the future for Scotland now looks a lot brighter.
19 December 2007 Macbeth film production is now complete the backdrops filming locations are Loch Leven, Loch Linnhe, Onich and Loch Ness in West Scotland. This film is not owned by Mont Films, Mont Films produced all the Scottish scenic backdrops for a company. Keep your eyes on the film festivals in 2008.

25 October 2007 Mont Films Co-Op productions has attracted a great response the first Co-Op production title Crofters of the Highlands first day of principle photography had to be changed due to the demand for HD backdrop filming Mont Films will be in contact with selected cast and crew by mid November 2007.
